Dang

Dang is from Soc Trang province in the Mekong Delta, where the Mekong River completes its 4,350 km journey from the Himalayas and flows into the South China Sea.  He single-handedly set up an environmental awareness project in his ethnic Khmer community centered around the town’s unique bat pagoda.  He also works for a youth group in Ho Chi Minh City to address water sanitation issues by conducting research on the use of aquatic plants for water treatment.   He is currently an intern with the Thai NGO TERRA in Bangkok.
