Jia Jia

Jia Jia worked as a research assistant in some national projects, traveling throughout the country to collect information from grassroots communities. Upon graduation from the Mekong School, She works on the environment protection in Beijing.

lao Zhang

Lao Zhang is a farmer and environmental activist from northwestern Yunnan.  He received international awards for his successful lawsuit against a company for smuggling, and illegally purchasing and processing endangered wild plants.  Upon graduation from the Mekong School, he started up the first grassroots Chinese NGO focusing on the impacts of dams along the Jing Sha, Nu Jiang (Salween) and Lan Cang (Mekong) Rivers.

Yue

Yue has worked as a research assistant in Kunming, where he was engaged in community-based development work.  Upon graduation from the Mekong School, he did an internship with the NGO Forum on the ADB in Manila, and has recently begun studying for his PhD in International Finance.
